Color Ridge Creamery swung open its doors with a splash of excitement in July 2022! 🍦 Founders Joseph Shumway and A.C. Ivory weren't just opening an ice cream shop - they were embarking on a delicious adventure to bring something truly special to both locals and visitors alike. With passion in their hearts and creativity in their hands, they set out to create ice cream experiences that would leave lasting memories.
Joseph, an amazingly talented ice cream chef extraordinaire, poured his heart and soul into developing more than 60 incredible flavors - each scoop telling its own unique story! Many of these delightful creations are exclusive to Color Ridge Creamery, meaning you simply won't find these taste sensations anywhere else in the world. Among our most beloved and uniquely scrumptious flavors are the refreshingly unexpected Juniper Berry, the warm-spiced cinnamon goodness of Churro, the bright and creamy Lemon Poppy Seed, and the mind-blowing Oreo-spresso.
The journey from 2022 through 2024 was nothing short of magical! Joseph and A.C. had the absolute joy of welcoming thousands of wonderful visitors traveling through the stunning Capitol Reef National Park. They scooped countless ice cream cones (we stopped counting after the first few thousand!), and witnessed the pure delight spreading across faces - from tiny tots to grandparents - as everyone savored their handcrafted frozen treats. There's truly nothing like seeing someone's eyes light up at that first lick of our artisanal ice cream!
When 2025 rolled around, Joseph and A.C. lovingly passed the ice cream scoop to new owners, ensuring that the Color Ridge Creamery legacy would continue bringing happiness one scoop at a time. The new team is just as passionate about keeping the Color Ridge magic alive, committed to maintaining the same quality, creativity, and friendly atmosphere that made our little creamery a must-visit destination for ice cream lovers everywhere!
